It’s finally here! The city’s updated bike plan, called the Bike(+) Master Plan, builds off of the original 1999 plan – that’s a long time! We’re happy to see the city’s commitment not only to accessibility, safety, and equity, but also to its climate goals of reducing transportation-related emissions 50% by 2030. It’ll help Pittsburgh neighborhoods, like Bloomfield, stay walkable and bikeable for generations to come. Check out the document on DOMI’s website HERE!
For Bloomfield, the Bike(+) Plan proposes Priority Networks connecting Bloomfield to:
– Friendship & Garfield via Coral St & Comrie Way;
– Shadyside via S Aiken Ave.;
– Oakland via S. Millvale Ave.; and,
– Central Lawrenceville via 44th & 45th St.
The Bike(+) Plan proposes Vision Networks connecting Bloomfield to:
– Lawrenceville via Woolslayer Way & Mintwood St.;
– Polish Hill via the Bloomfield Bridge; and,
– East Liberty via Mossfield St.
For the rest of February, DOMI is seeking your feedback about the Bike(+) Plan. Use any of these options to submit your comments:
